IX.6.e Pompeii. May 2005. Looking north across shop entrance. On the left, west wall, would have been the steps to the upper floor. In the north wall is a doorway into room “c” of IX.6.d, and a window into room “d” (see IX.6.d) According to Mau, this was described as number 10, of IX.6.

On the left, west wall, would have been the steps to the upper floor.

In the north wall is a doorway into room “c” of IX.6.d, and a window into room “d” (see IX.6.d)

According to Mau, this was described as number 10, of IX.6.

According to Boyce, in the east wall of the taberna was a niche with peaked ceiling.
Its walls were coated with white stucco outlined in red.
Around it on the wall was a lararium painting, of which only a cornucopia on the left side could be seen when excavated.
